Donal McConnell
Partner
Donal McConnell is the Managing Partner and deals with all aspects of civil and criminal litigation, particularly road traffic accident and industrial accident claims. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is an experienced Solicitor Advocate. Donal qualified as a solicitor in England in 1992 and joined Reavey & Company in 1995 becoming a partner in 1999. He has worked throughout this time at the firm’s Carrickfergus office dealing with both privatelyfunded and Legal Aid cases. |
John Greer
Partner
John Greer joined the firm as an apprentice in 1994 and is now a Partner in our Rathcoole office. He is an accomplished solicitor advocate and attends Magistrates Courts daily and also handles a large share of the firm’s considerable Crown Court practice. John combines this with a sizeable litigation practice and is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). John has also been responsible for growing the firm’s expanding Family law caseload. |
Joe Tunney
Partner
Joe Tunney qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and formed his own practice following the take over of Terence Shiels & Co in 1994. Joe joined Reavey & Company as a partner after the merger with JM Tunney Solicitors in 2003 and is based in our Carrickfergus office. He has a very broad range of skills but in particular has extensive experience in property development, commercial conveyancing, litigation, probate and matrimonial work. |
David Kernaghan

David Kernaghan joined the firm in 1999 as an apprentice to John Reavey and is now a Partner based in our Rathcoole office. David has a wide and varied caseload with particular emphasis on all types of residential and commercial property matters, civil litigation, probate, wills and estate planning. He is another of the firms qualified Solicitor Advocates. |
Gavin Graham
Solicitor
Gavin Graham joined Reavey & Company in 2000 having obtained a BA (hons) in Law and Government from the University of Ulster. Gavin is a solicitor based in our Rathcoole office and has a considerable caseload consisting of personal injury litigation, criminal injuries compensation, Magistrates Court and Crown Court matters. |
John Reavey
Consultant
John Reavey entered the legal profession in 1976 after working in the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Customs & Excise. He is an Economics graduate of Queen’s University. He served an apprenticeship in a leading Belfast practice and founded Reavey & Company in 1982. He is a qualified Solicitor Advocate regularly attending in both civil and criminal courts. John is also an accredited mediator and was instrumental in setting up the Collaborative Lawyers Group. He became a Consultant with the firm in 2010. |
